Founded in 2017 by Swedish artist and product developer Johan Bergelin, 19-69 is a luxury fragrance brand that translates countercultural moments into complex, unisex scents. The brand’s name itself is a nod to the year of freedom, tolerance, and rebellion, which also happens to be the founder’s birth year. The initial collection of five perfumes launched at the iconic Parisian boutique Colette, quickly establishing the brand within the niche fragrance world. Each scent is a narrative, inspired by art, music, and cultural settings from across the globe, from the glam-rock scene of 1980s L.A. to the hippie trails of the 1960s.
