A former costume designer for pop stars like Rihanna, Selman pivoted from his eponymous ready-to-wear label (founded in 2013) to fill a gap in the activewear market for playful, sexy, and fashion-forward sportswear. The brand quickly became known for its bold prints, vibrant colors, and signature items like the "French Cut" leggings, which were designed to be versatile enough for workouts or daily life.
