Launched in 2018, Adish is a fashion project founded by a partnership of Israeli designers and Palestinian creatives to foster social and cultural collaboration. The brand’s name, Hebrew for “apathetic,” is used ironically to signal its mission of creating dialogue and countering indifference to the region's political reality. Adish is defined by its fusion of modern streetwear silhouettes with heritage Palestinian craft techniques, most notably hand-stitched tatreez embroidery and Bedouin weaving. These elements are incorporated into workwear jackets, hoodies, trousers, and shirts, with each garment’s label crediting the specific artisan group and location in Palestine where the craft was produced.
