Founded in 2018 by Catalina Álvarez and Mariana Hinestroza, Agua by Agua Bendita is the luxury-focused sister brand to their original swimwear line, Agua Bendita (2003). Born from the duo’s fashion design studies in Medellín, Colombia, the brand translates Latin America’s vibrant biodiversity into sophisticated resort wear. Central to its identity is a deep commitment to artisanship; each piece is handcrafted by a network of female artisans in Colombia, many of whom work from home, preserving ancestral embroidery and beading techniques while supporting their families. The collections feature voluminous dresses, refined swimwear, and breezy ready-to-wear garments, all characterized by intricate, hand-drawn prints of flora and fauna.
