AJT Design was founded in 2014 by Adam Truckey in Traverse City, Michigan. A mechanical engineer by trade, Truckey initially launched the brand as a freelance design service before pivoting to automotive accessories after creating a 3D-printed key fob case for his own Toyota FJ Cruiser. The overwhelming response from the off-road community shifted the brand’s focus entirely to product development.
