Launched in early 2025, Aletta is a London-based womenswear label from design duo Freddy Coomes and Matt Empringham. The Central Saint Martins alumni, who trained under Jonathan Anderson at Loewe and JW Anderson, founded the brand on a philosophy of making as a way of thinking. Their process begins with materials—from heavy cottons to technical fabrics used in sports cars—to create garments that play with dimension and perception, often appearing two-dimensional or frozen in motion. This approach reworks historical dress through a modern, experimental lens rather than direct replication.
