Founded in 2014 by Rosh Mahtani, Alighieri is a London-based jewellery brand born from the founder’s study of Italian literature at Oxford University. With no formal training, Mahtani began creating one piece of jewellery for each of Dante Alighieri’s 100 poems in the “Divine Comedy,” establishing a narrative-driven approach. The brand’s signature is its “modern heirlooms”—imperfectly textured, molten talismans hand-carved in wax and cast in recycled bronze and silver in London’s Hatton Garden district. These pieces are designed to celebrate vulnerability and the beauty of human imperfection, resonating with a clientele that values storytelling and artisanal craft.
