Founded in 2017 by designer Mariela Montiel, Amambaih is a social-impact luxury brand deeply rooted in her Paraguayan origins. The brand was born from Montiel’s desire to support the indigenous Maka artisan community, creating a sustainable economic model that preserves their ancestral weaving traditions. Each creation is a journey across continents: designed in Paris, featuring intricate fabrics hand-woven by female artisans in Paraguay, and finally handcrafted into sculptural footwear and bags in Spain. This unique process merges heritage craft with a high-fashion perspective.
