Founded in 2002 in Dubai by Filipino designer Furne One and textile expert Rashid Ali, Amato Couture (Italian for "beloved") has established itself as a pioneering force in Middle Eastern haute couture. One, who honed his craft under Josie Natori and trained in New York and Paris, brings a highly theatrical, avant-garde sensibility to the brand. Amato is celebrated for its dramatic, sculptural gowns that blend Eastern and Western cultural motifs with rare, intricate hand-embellishments.
