Andrew Gn was a Paris-based luxury fashion house founded in 1996 by the Singaporean designer of the same name. Educated at London's Central Saint Martins and Milan's Domus Academy, Gn assisted Emanuel Ungaro before launching his own label. The brand became synonymous with opulent, ready-to-wear designs that possessed the intricate quality of haute couture. Gn’s work was celebrated for its masterful blend of Eastern and Western cultural references, drawing inspiration from sources as varied as Chinese porcelain, art history, and the bohemian mix of the 60s and 70s. Signature elements included lavish embroidery, rich textiles, custom-designed buttons, and immaculate tailoring, which created ultra-feminine and powerful silhouettes. The house catered to an international clientele, including royalty and celebrities like Catherine, Princess of Wales, Queen Rania of Jordan, and Lady Gaga. In December 2023, after 28 years and more than 80 collections, Andrew Gn announced the closure of his brand to focus on his legacy and other artistic pursuits. His work is now being celebrated in retrospective exhibitions at museums worldwide.
