Founded in 2009 by Bradford Peterson and Charlie Brown, Astis is an American outdoor accessories brand rooted in the tradition of handcrafted leather artistry. The brand was born after Peterson’s cherished pair of Cree-made caribou leather mittens—which he had skied in for over a decade—were destroyed by a dog. Unable to find a suitable replacement, he set out to recreate their durability and distinctive aesthetic. Today, Astis is best known for its signature long-cuff ski mittens and gloves, which blend high-performance winter technology with heritage craft.
