Founded in 1830 in the Swiss Jura, Baume & Mercier is one of the world's oldest watchmaking Maisons. The story began when brothers Louis-Victor and Célestin Baume established a watch dealership, built on the motto, “Accept only perfection, only manufacture watches of the highest quality.” This commitment to precision earned them a formidable reputation, winning numerous awards for timekeeping accuracy. A pivotal moment came in 1918 when William Baume partnered with the visionary Paul Mercier, officially forming Baume & Mercier in Geneva. This union fused technical watchmaking expertise with an elegant design sensibility, leading to the creation of iconic wristwatches, including unconventionally shaped models that captured the spirit of the Art Deco era.
