Founded by designer Eri Utsugi in 2005, mercibeaucoup, (French for “thank you very much”) was a Japanese fashion label celebrated for its playful and avant-garde approach to everyday clothing. Operating under A-Net Inc., the same parent company as Issey Miyake, the brand debuted at Tokyo Fashion Week in 2006, quickly gaining a cult following for its quirky and joyful designs. Utsugi, who previously led the label Frapbois, infused mercibeaucoup, with a distinct “kawaii” (cute) and humorous spirit, creating memorable pieces for both men and women.
