Founded by Frédéric Boucheron in 1858, Boucheron is the first of the great contemporary jewelers to have opened a boutique on Paris’s Place Vendôme. The Maison built its legacy on a foundation of bold creativity, technical innovation, and a free-spirited vision of femininity. From its inception, the brand attracted a prestigious international clientele of royalty, financiers, and celebrities, drawn to its masterful creations. Boucheron is celebrated for iconic designs like the revolutionary Question Mark necklace, a clasp-less piece from 1879, and the Serpent Bohème collection, which has been a symbol of love and protection since 1968. Other signatures include the graphic Quatre ring, which merges architectural lines with the Maison's heritage motifs. Under the creative direction of Claire Choisne since 2011, Boucheron continues to push the boundaries of high jewelry, blending its rich archives with a forward-thinking approach. Choisne is known for her audacious use of unconventional materials—such as rock crystal, sand, and even aerogel—alongside exceptional gemstones, creating pieces that are both technically groundbreaking and poetically expressive. This commitment to innovation honors the legacy of the founder while ensuring the Maison remains a leader in modern luxury, creating the classics of tomorrow.
