Founded in 2022 by childhood friends Anna Dzhilavyan and Ksenia Zaytseva, Bur Bur is a clean haircare brand born from a family tradition. The brand’s philosophy is centered around a DIY hair mask recipe from Zaytseva's grandmother, featuring the hero ingredient, the burdock plant, which has been used for generations to promote hair growth and scalp health. After immigrating to the U.S. and noticing a gap in the market for truly natural and non-white-labeled products, the founders launched Bur Bur from Los Angeles. The initial offering, the 'Growing Season' hair oil, is a blend of burdock, nettle, and other botanicals.
