Launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2016, Burberry Prorsum was the artistic, runway-focused sub-label of the British heritage house Burberry. Established to propel the brand into the high-fashion sphere, Prorsum—Latin for "forward"—served as the creative laboratory for Chief Creative Officer Christopher Bailey, who transformed the company from a conservative raincoat manufacturer into a global luxury powerhouse. Unlike the commercial "London" and "Brit" diffusion lines, Prorsum collections were produced in limited quantities, often in Italy, and featured experimental fabrics, intricate embellishments, and sharper, more aggressive tailoring.
