Byblos was founded in 1973 in Italy as a division of Genny S.p.A., quickly establishing a reputation for its fresh, expressive style under the early creative guidance of Gianni Versace. Throughout the 80s and 90s, the brand became synonymous with a vibrant, pop-infused look that captured the energy of a generation hungry for freedom and style, speaking to the culture of clubs and streets. After being acquired by the Swinger International group in 2002, Byblos has continued to evolve, now under the creative direction of Central Saint Martins graduate Manuel Facchini.
