Founded in 2020 by Malaysian designer Kew Wai Chia, Caro Chia is an emerging contemporary womenswear label that operates at the intersection of fashion and fine art. After graduating from the University of Brighton, the designer returned to Kuala Lumpur to launch her eponymous brand, drawing heavy inspiration from abstract sculptors like Jean Arp and Barbara Hepworth. This artistic foundation directly informs the brand’s aesthetic, which treats the human body as a canvas for biomorphic pattern cutting and experimental draping.
