Founded in 2015 by an Istanbul native living in Washington, D.C., Charix reimagines the traditional Turkish leather slip-on—known as the çarık—for modern everyday wear. The brand was born from a desire to merge centuries-old shoemaking techniques with contemporary comfort and durability. Operating out of its own warehouse and showroom in the nation's capital, Charix maintains a highly localized, direct-to-consumer approach, refusing to outsource fulfillment to third-party logistics.
