Founded in 2017 by photographer-turned-designer Meghan McColley in Delaware, Chicka & Co is a Latina-owned lifestyle and apparel brand rooted in 1970s nostalgia. Originally launched as a modern boutique, the brand evolved into a retro-focused label offering "groovy goods to the modern hippie." McColley, a self-taught sewist, shifted the brand's focus toward handmade and upcycled production, creating signature pieces like Tee-Maxi dresses crafted from repurposed materials, oversized hair bows, and sustainable wooden accessories.
