Founded in 2016 by Costa Rican artist and designer Pamela Hernández, CRUDA is a Mexico City-based footwear and accessories brand rooted in the philosophy of upcycling. Hernández, whose background in art and furniture design deeply informs her approach to materiality, launched the brand to transform discarded elements into wearable art. CRUDA is defined by its commitment to circularity, utilizing 100% recycled materials—ranging from second-hand leather garments and certified wood from demolished houses to discarded furniture and airplane tires.
