Founded in 2012 by American-born designer Dan Ward—whose extensive background includes leading menswear and merchandising at Hermès, Bally, and Calvin Klein—Danward is a luxury resortwear label headquartered in Florence, Italy. Rooted in Ward’s past as a competitive swimmer and his upbringing near the ocean, the brand was born out of a desire to bridge the gap between active performance wear and high-end fashion.
