Founded in 2014 in Los Angeles by siblings Peter and Ruth De Jong, De JONG & Co. is a family-run design atelier that merges fine woodworking with interior design. Peter’s background in sculpture and fine woodworking directly informs the brand’s meticulous approach to construction, while Ruth’s experience as a celebrated production designer shapes its spatial sensibility. The studio is known for its handcrafted solid wood furniture and tabletop accessories, which reimagine traditional forms through a contemporary lens. Signature pieces like the Mandelbrot Credenza and hand-turned spice mills are defined by iconic bevels, custom hardware, and lustrous hand-rubbed finishes.
