Founded in 1905 by engineer Louis Delâge, the Delage brand quickly became a paragon of French automotive excellence, celebrated for both its luxurious road cars and its dominance in Grand Prix racing. Throughout the early 20th century, Delage was synonymous with sophisticated engineering and elegant, often coachbuilt, designs that won numerous "Concours d'Élégance" awards. After a golden era of motorsport success, including winning the 1927 World Championship, the brand succumbed to the financial pressures of the Great Depression and ceased operations in 1953, leaving behind a legacy of innovation and style.
