Founded in Montréal in 2003 by two university students, Justin Svatina and Don Nguyen, DOMREBEL began with a DIY spirit and $350. The name is an acronym for the Latin "Dominus Rebellis," or “master of rebellion,” which guides the brand’s anti-conformist approach. DOMREBEL operates as an art and fashion studio, treating clothing as a canvas for its original cartoon characters, fine art, and experimental treatments. The brand is recognized for its bold, graphic-heavy t-shirts, hoodies, and jackets that often feature hand-painted details, embroidery, and applied crystals developed in its Montréal atelier.
