Founded by Michael Drake in London’s East End in 1977, Drake's began as a maker of men's scarves and shawls before becoming famous for its handmade ties and pocket squares. The brand gained a reputation for its idiosyncratic design sensibility and commitment to high-quality materials, establishing itself in prestigious boutiques worldwide. Since 2010, under the ownership of creative director Michael Hill and The Armoury co-founder Mark Cho, Drake's has evolved from a luxury accessories label into a full design house. Hill, who was Michael Drake's protégé, has expanded the offering to include soft Italian tailoring, Scottish knitwear, and shirts crafted in the brand's own Somerset factory.
