Launched in 2005 by American-born, Paris-based designer Rick Owens, DRKSHDW is the streetwear-oriented diffusion line of his eponymous label. Conceived as a more accessible entry point into the designer's avant-garde universe, DRKSHDW translates the mainline's dark, architectural, and minimalist design principles into everyday garments. The brand started as a denim line and has since expanded to include staples such as oversized hoodies, drop-crotch trousers, and elongated T-shirts, all rendered in a signature monochromatic color palette.
