Founded in Brooklyn in 2008, D.S. & Durga was born from the creative partnership of self-taught perfumer and musician David Seth Moltz (D.S.) and architect-turned-designer Kavi Ahuja Moltz (Durga). Operating under the principle that “perfume is armchair travel,” the brand crafts unconventional fragrances that tell rich, transportive stories. Each scent is developed in-house, drawing inspiration from American folklore, music history, and esoteric concepts, resulting in distinctive creations like Burning Barbershop and Cowboy Grass. The brand’s DIY roots and founder-led vision have cultivated a dedicated cult following that values artistry over mainstream trends.
