Founded in Belgium in 1994, Egmont Toys has built a devoted following for its nostalgic, heirloom-quality children's products. Originally started in a garage by Egmont Le Compte, the brand was taken over by Amaury Timmermans in 2025, a father whose vision centers on reviving screen-free, imaginative play. The brand is best known for its signature hand-painted mushroom nightlights—produced in the same German workshop for over 60 years (following its acquisition of Heico in 2016)—which have become a cult-favorite decor item for nurseries and children's rooms.
