Founded in 1996 in California by former professional freestyle skateboarder Pierre-André Senizergues, Emerica was born out of a desire to create raw, straightforward footwear for the core skateboarding community. As part of the Sole Technology family, the brand quickly established itself as a pillar of 1990s and 2000s skate culture, championed by legendary riders and iconic, DIY-style skate videos like *Yellow* and *Stay Gold*.
