Founded in 2017 by Charlotte Hicks in Sydney, Australia, ESSE Studios was born out of a desire to counter the fashion industry's cycle of excess. Hicks, a designer with over a decade of experience at global fashion houses, established the brand to champion a slow-fashion philosophy centered on mindful consumption. ESSE releases its collections as slow, seasonless "Editions," with each capsule thoughtfully designed to build upon the last.
