Founded in Paris in 2015 by Laura Gauthier Petit, a former digital strategist, Fête Impériale is a womenswear brand that channels the spirit of its name—a nod to the lavish celebrations of Napoleon III's court. The brand built its identity on a creative clash of eras, blending the opulent, sensual aesthetics of 19th-century France with the subversive, androgynous cool of the 1980s punk and pop scenes. This anti-academic approach resulted in collections defined by their exclusive prints, which were developed with artists and treated as wearable paintings, or "pièces-tableaux." Signature pieces often featured fluid, oversized silhouettes in materials like French silk, satin, and velvet, designed to feel both protective and empowering.
