Founded in 2012 in Boston by college friends Jake Anderson and Sam Barstow—two avid skiers who wanted footwear that could handle mountain weather without looking like clunky hiking boots—Forsake pioneered the modern "sneakerboot" category. The brand was born out of a successful Kickstarter campaign and a desire to bridge the gap between rugged outdoor performance and casual, everyday style. Forsake’s signature aesthetic combines the comfort and visual appeal of skate shoes and lifestyle sneakers with the technical features of traditional hiking boots, such as waterproof membranes, taped seams, and durable outsoles.
