Italian designer Francesco Murano, a 2019 graduate of IED Milan, launched his eponymous brand in 2021 after gaining early recognition for dressing Beyoncé and winning the prestigious “Who Is On Next?” award from Vogue Italia. Based in Milan, Murano’s work is defined by a conceptual dualism, balancing the rational, structured forms of tailoring with the irrational, instinctive art of draping. His designs draw heavily from classical and baroque art, translating the harmony of Greco-Roman sculpture into garments that are both powerful and fluid.
