Founded in 2010 in Marfa, Texas, by husband-and-wife duo Jamey Garza and Constance Holt-Garza, Garza Marfa merges the rugged simplicity of the American West with a relaxed California coastal sensibility. Jamey, with a background in fine arts and welding, and Constance, bringing expertise in textiles and color, relocated to the high plains desert in 2003, eventually launching their bespoke furniture and home goods studio. The brand is best known for its signature modern take on the Acapulco chair, featuring stitched saddle leather and brightly powder-coated bent steel rod bases.
