Founded in 1866 by William Green, Grenson is a heritage British footwear brand from Northampton, the heartland of English shoemaking. The company was an early pioneer of the Goodyear welting process, a durable construction method that defines its shoes and allows them to be repaired and resoled for decades. This commitment to longevity and craftsmanship remains a core part of the brand’s identity, with each pair of its English-made shoes taking up to eight weeks to produce. While rooted in classic brogues and boots, Grenson has been modernized under the direction of owner and creative director Tim Little, who took over in 2005.
