Herve L. Leroux was founded in 2000 by the French designer Hervé Peugnet, the original creator of the famed Hervé Léger label and its iconic bandage dress. After losing the rights to his birth name in 1999, Peugnet was rechristened Hervé L. Leroux by his mentor Karl Lagerfeld and opened a small, independent couture atelier in Paris. Under this new name, he moved beyond the '90s body-con phenomenon he started, focusing on a more refined, couture-driven approach. His work evolved from tight bands to elegant, fluid draping, creating goddess-like gowns and cocktail dresses that sculpted the female form with a softer, more sophisticated hand.
