As the only fragrance house to exist across four centuries, Houbigant Paris has a history as rich and layered as its scents. Founded in 1775 by Jean-François Houbigant, the house quickly became the perfumer of choice for European royalty, with clients including Marie Antoinette, Napoleon, and Queen Victoria. The brand is credited with two revolutionary innovations that forever changed perfumery: the creation of Fougère Royale in 1882, which established the now-legendary "fougère" fragrance family, and Quelques Fleurs in 1912, the first true multi-floral bouquet ever made.
