Founded in the summer of 2016 by Tam "Koko" Khodanian, a former graphic designer, iamkoko.la is a Los Angeles-based sustainable fashion brand rooted in upcycling. The brand began as a side hustle at the Melrose Trading Post, where Khodanian sold reworked vintage t-shirts to extend their lifecycle. Today, iamkoko.la operates both online and from a brick-and-mortar store on Melrose Avenue, saving hundreds of garments from landfills each month.
