Marseille-based designer Inès Bressand launched her signature line of accessories in 2015, following a formative research trip to Ghana. A graduate of the Design Academy Eindhoven, Bressand's work is a dialogue between contemporary design and ancestral craftsmanship. Her standout 'Akamae' collection features sculptural basket bags hand-woven from elephant grass by master artisans in Ghana and then shaped and finished with vegetable-tanned leather in her French workshop. This cross-cultural collaboration results in objects that are both minimal and eclectic, functional and artful.
