Founded in 2014 by creative director Ty McBride, Intentionally Blank is a Los Angeles–based footwear and lifestyle brand rooted in the concept of personal expression. A "human-forward" and queer-owned label, it was born from McBride’s desire to create pieces that "fill the blanks" in a wearer’s personal style rather than dictating a specific look. The aesthetic is a playful mix of minimalism and visual irony, often referencing vintage silhouettes with a modern, slightly subversive twist—think chunky loafers, sculptural heels, and "ugly-cool" sandals.
