Isabella 1985 is an Italian-made streetwear brand conceived by Michele Lamanna, a digital artist with a decade of experience in fashion and graphic design. The project aims to subvert the norms of streetwear, using designs that draw from 1980s and '90s American and Japanese sportswear, horror films, and digital-native subcultures like pastel goth and normcore. The brand's identity is built on a dualism, where seemingly soft, tenuous color palettes are juxtaposed with imagery and symbols meant to unhinge perceptual balance, leaving interpretation open to the viewer.
