Jean-Claude Jitrois, a former child psychomotor therapist, founded his eponymous French label in 1980, bringing a unique understanding of the relationship between skin, identity, and clothing to his designs. Jitrois is globally recognized as the pioneer of stretch leather, a revolutionary technique introduced in the 1990s that bonded plongé lambskin to a cotton-Lycra base, allowing leather to fit like a second skin.
