Joe Garvey is a New York-based visual artist who extends his creative practice into the realm of fashion and goods. Originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Garvey moved to New York City in 2009, where he developed a body of work that explores contemporary American life. Before co-founding the clothing brand Groveland with a friend in 2019, he periodically released apparel under his own name, viewing it as a fluid and less critiqued outlet for his aesthetic interests.
