Jonsen Island is a French fashion label that channels the free-spirited culture of 1970s surf. The brand’s story began when founder Thomas Cantoni, an illustrator, discovered a vintage 1973 surfboard sticker in Southern California from a forgotten artisanal brand named “Jonsen Factory.” Inspired, he revived the name—which was also his mother’s maiden name—and its octopus logo, officially filing the brand in 2009 and launching professionally in 2015. With a design workshop in Marseille, Jonsen Island creates a bridge between beach and city life through its collections of relaxed apparel and accessories for men and women.
