Founded in 2017 in France by Franco-Peruvian artist Adrien Flores, Juanita Care is an avant-garde jewelry and vegan accessories brand now based in Mexico City. Flores, a graduate of the Villa Arson School of Fine Arts, initially launched the brand to explore the mouth as a gateway to the body, specializing in subversive dental jewelry and custom grillz. The brand’s name pays homage to "Mummy Juanita," a 15th-century Inca ice maiden, reflecting Flores's deep connection to his Peruvian heritage and ancient South American adornment practices.
