Juliet Johnstone, an artist turned designer, launched her eponymous fashion label from Los Angeles in 2020. What began as a quarantine-era project of painting on vintage workwear quickly evolved into a cult-favorite brand celebrated for its fusion of art and fashion. A Parsons fine arts graduate, Johnstone initially used thrifted Carhartt and Dickies pants as her canvas, adorning them with whimsical, psychedelic-inspired motifs like flowers, butterflies, and celestial bodies. This practice was born from a desire to create joyful, uninhibited art and make it accessible.
