Karen Chekerdjian Studio was founded in Beirut in 2001 by the Lebanese-Armenian designer, following her return from Milan where she trained at the Domus Academy and was mentored by Archizoom founder Massimo Morozzi. Rooted in the creative resourcefulness of its home city, the studio works in close collaboration with local artisans, transforming Lebanon’s rich history of craftsmanship into a contemporary design language. Chekerdjian’s work blurs the lines between art, design, and architecture, producing sculptural and often monumental pieces with a powerful, enigmatic presence.
