Founded in 2021 by Kate Barton—a Savannah College of Art and Design graduate and Kansas City native—this New York-based label has quickly established itself as a force in American avant-garde eveningwear. Barton’s design philosophy is rooted in a “fabric-first” approach, where she employs innovative, technology-enhanced draping techniques to create sculptural silhouettes that minimize waste. Her work is defined by its structural minimalism and fluid, gravity-defying forms, most notably seen in her signature “Liquid Draped” gowns and acrylic “Goldfish” accessory bags that blur the line between fashion and art object.
