Founded in France in 1970 by Daniel Raufast, Kickers was born from a vision to create footwear for the denim-wearing generation, inspired by the free-spirited cast of the musical *Hair*. The brand’s first creation, a “jean boot” designed by Jacques Chevallereau, set the tone with its distinctive nubuck material, durable crepe sole, contrast triple-stitching, and denim-inspired details. This initial design quickly achieved international success, and the launch of the iconic Kick Hi boot in 1975 cemented its place in fashion history. The shoe is defined by its signature details: a leather fleurette, engraved eyelets, and the iconic red and green tabs on the left and right shoe, respectively.
